Sorella Apothecary’s superficial peels deliver powerfully blends of acids, enzymes, and botanical extracts to treat various skin concerns ranging from hyperpigmentation and fine lines to acne and rosacea with minimal to no sloughing of the skin. Chemical peels improve the texture and tone of your skin by removing the damaged outer layers.

Natural skin cell turnover usually follows our four-week biological calendar like many other body cycle, however, the speed of the cell-turnover cycle slows as we age. With the help of professional treatments, we have the ability to increase our natural skin cell turnover rate – Collagen, elastin, and glycosaminoglycans (GAG), which comprise a large part of our skin’s extracellular matrix (ECM) or support structure, also decrease with time. Chemical peel treatments can be used to combat the visible changes that come with aging skin and can also maintain the results.

With our superficial peels, there is no downtime. You may return to work immediately.

It is important to keep your skin COOL and out of the direct sun as. Depending on strength of treatment, this ranges from 3-10 days.

  • Pregnant or nursing
  • Accutane usage in the past year
  • Cosmetic tattoos must be at least 6 + weeks healed
  • Not willing to use SPF 30+ daily

For corrective results, a series of 3 to 6 treatments is recommended. Additionally, a professional grade home-care routine that is personalized to your skin concern(s) is highly recommended.

Having one professional treatment 4 times per year, along with a personalized, professional grade home-care can do wonders in slowing the signs of aging!

Professional chemical peels can be performed as often as every 3 to 6 weeks.

Depending on your skin type, there may be no visible peeling at all or there may be mild to moderate skin peeling.

I highly recommend using professional grade skin care products that are customized to your needs, along with regular, professional treatments.

This is a critical step in working towards a specific skincare goal.

Daily use of SPF is your number 1 anti-aging prevention and it is crucial to use SPF 30+ daily after receiving professional treatments as they will sensitize the skin to the effects of sun exposure. I am happy to curate a customized home-care routine that will work to address your skin goals as well as nourish your skin with amazing ingredients!

As with all peels and treatments, it is recommended that make up NOT be applied on the day of your treatment, as it is ideal to allow the skin to stabilize and rest overnight; however, makeup may be applied 15 minutes after the treatment if desired.
