Important to know

Removing a Tattoo is a Process | Not a Single Procedure

FOLLOW THESE STEPS IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE TREATMENT

  • With clean hands, wipe the treated area constantly and as often as possible (approximately every 5-10 minutes) post procedure with the provided “PhiWipe” until bedtime (the goal is to remove as much lymphatic drainage as possible)
  • Beginning the following morning, wipe treated area 5 times daily with “PhiWipe” and keep area clean and dry
  • After 48 hours, apply a thin layer of “Skin Candy” (step 1) aftercare ointment to treated area every 8 hours until all scabs completely disappear (usually for 7 to 14 days)
  • After all scabs have completely disappeared, apply scar cream (step 2) once to twice daily until tissue takes on the same color as surrounding skin

DO NOT PICK OR SCRATCH TREATED AREA(S)

WHAT TO EXPECT FOLLOWING THE REMOVAL TREATMENT

  • Immediately following your tattoo extraction procedure, the treated area(s) will experience a moderate amount of redness, which will gradually diminish
  • The pigment on your skin will appear darker as the epidermis (upper layer of your skin) has been gently removed and pigment is drawn to the surface of your skin
  • You can expect to see a scab formation consisting of tattoo pigment in the next few days
  • Throughout the healing process, you will see that even more pigment is being extracted. Please resist the urge to pick the scabs as this will result in scarring!

IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE

  • Please send progress pictures to me via text message every other day to monitor your healing process
  • You may schedule your follow up treatment 4 to 6 weeks after your last tattoo removal session
  • For individuals wanting to get permanent makeup after your final removal treatment, a 3-month healing period is necessary to allow enough healing for your skin to retain the newly implanted pigment

AVOID THE FOLLOWING 7 DAYS POST TREATMENT

  • Strenuous exercise causing sweating (sweat contains salt and bacteria, which are not beneficial on a wound)
  • No makeup on your eyebrows or lips until all scabs have fallen off without picking

OTHER THINGS TO AVOID

  • Facial treatments for 4 weeks (for brow tattoo removal clients)
  • Body treatments for 4 weeks (for body tattoo removal clients)
  • Tanning, direct sun exposure, baths, saunas and pools/oceans for 2 weeks post procedure
  • Do NOT pick or scratch treated area(s)
